Dash and Soarin were having constant fights, and the distance between them grew each day. Soarin was out of the house constantly and Dash would spend days training, but as days went on she started feeling sick. Her favourite foods were no longer that tasty, and would often feel dizzy and had to take several rests. She no longer was as fast as she was, and went to a doctor to see if she had some sort of illness or stress, but the results came out the opposite. Dash was pregnant. At first she could not belive it. She was carrying a life inside her. She felt terrified but also felt joy and bubbly inside. But as she realized something, a twinge of fear creeped into the pit of her stomach. She would need to tell Soarin. But he was almost never in the house, and who knows where he could be. She waited until the perfect time to tell him, and she arranged a time she could be early and maybe catch Soarin to talk to him. And maybe, this baby could bring them back together, and be a couple and partners again.

So one day Dash got off early from work, obviously with Spitfires permission. Dash had told Spitfire about Soarin and her marriage, and now she told her that she was pregnant. Spitfire was understanding and congratulated Dash on her pregnancy. She even offered Dash to put her in a spot on the work where it didn't require that much energy and dangerous work. Dash was gratefull for Spitfire and off she went. Dash got home early, but as awlays the lights were turned off, a small mess from mornings breakfast, and a light from Soarin's and her room. Dash's heart started pumping fast, her legs trembled and the feeling of having to puke came over her. She straightened her self out and she approached the room quietly. The door was open a crack and a dim light poured into the hallway enough to see the path. With every step, Dash grew anxious and her heart beated so furiously she thought it would burst out of her chest. That is until she heard a noise inside the room. It sounded as the rustleling of sheets and moans. And when Dash got in close contact with the door, she pushed it open, and her heart fell to the ground and tears formed in her eyes.

"S-Soarin?"
It was Soarin, but there was another mare with him. Lighting Dust. Soarin and Lighting Dust, in their bed, making out. Both turned to look at who was at the door, and Soarin grew pale and Lighting just stared at her. Dash's throat began to hurt as no other words would come out. Dash felt her heart break into millions of pieces as the reality dawned on her. There was no repair for this relationship, they could never make it work, their marriage was broken, shattered, dusted into nothing but as something of the past. Dash could no longer feel her connection with him. It was gone, their love was broken. Their trust, friendship, all that just didn't matter to him anymore.

"Dash-"
Before Soarin could finish his sentence, Dash turned tail and ran. She bursted open the door, and she just flew.
"Dash!" She could hear his voice, but it seemed so distant. So empty. So strange. Unrecognizable.
Dash could only fly away, and her sobs filled the empty evening and the sun began to set. Her ragged breaths hurt and burned, her heart ached like no other. It was unbearable.

knock knock knock

"Hello?- Dash?!"
Fluttershy exclaimed when she saw the blue mare at her door. She looked nothing like the strong, confident and loud mare she knew. She looked weak, ashamed and inconsolable. Fluttershy let her in, and as Discord entered the living room asking what's wrong, he immediately looked shocked. He brought over a warm blanket and Fluttershy a warm cup of green tea. Dash spilled everything to them. Her broken marriage. Soarin's infediality. And her pregnancy. She talked through her sobs, but was just enough audible for them to understand a word. Fluttershy hugged Dash and Discord spoke words in apologies.

Dash stayed with them for a while and later on Twilight offered Dash to stay at her castle for a more spacious and safe room. Fluttershy and Discord would often visit the now quiet mare, but she would only laugh a little and go back to her gloomy self. The news spread around Ponyville and into Cloudsdale. Spitfire caught wind of the rumors, and with a visit to Rainbow Dash on the castle, she was litteraly fuming. Soarin was called into her office, and Spitfire blew a fuse on him. On how he had no honor, no self-respect and no respect for others, even his wife. Soarin tried to explain himself, but Spitfire had none of it.
"I wish I could feel pity for you Soarin, I really do. But, your choices have nothing to do with Dash. She tried everything for your marriage to work. She trusted you and loved you, and you had her upmost loyalty. But you threw it kicked it away like a cloud, not really caring what she would feel. And now, my decision is the same as yours. Please clean your locker, pack all your stuff. You are free for tomorrow and all the days after it. You are dismissed."

After that night, Soarin moved out of the house, and left with Lightning Dust. Soarin's reputation was destroyed, he no longer had the respect he once had, and he felt like a piece of shit for his actions. And in a desperate attempt to not be alone, he married Lighting Dust. Oddly enough she accepted, but mostly it was for her to rub it in Dash's face. Dash filed for divorce, and within a week, Dash was no longer with him. All his stuff, everything was gone. Her house felt emptier than ever, and the quiet was deafening. But, she had her baby. She had her friends and her parents with her. And would raise her baby even if she would be a only mother. Oh the surpise she got when they figured out they were twins.

So yeah that is how Dash and Soarin split up. Soarin had an affair with Lighting Dust, the enemy of Rainbow Dash. But no worries Dash gets a happy ending.
