The first zhan ever drawn was at 2008 December. My first art to be gone internet since I wanted to show the readers of Master's of Claw how Zhan looked like. Since i dont hav a personal blog, and FF only got avatar as the pic. I figure it would be Deviantart to give the full pic.

Hmmm.. Adding the hat and the cloak is cool. But i believe the hat would be Crane's signature item, and for the cat here is the sun glasses (the one and only).. X3 . this is trying to mimic the Original ZHan pose anyway.
Since this guy is facing continuous changes, any suggestions or depictions will be taken into account of course (which i think is cool, more logic, and realistic. Applied for Crow too, like the mouth fold which you drew. If there is only hood people will see her face clearly right?) . Just draw for fun. For some reason, I kept drawing this two because they are the most easiest to draw due to the shapes as well (many circles...).

Oh, you're right. You're right! The shades are more like Zhan's signature style. Haha, I remember when he threw them on for like the first time to hide his fatigue.
"I say, what's with the shades?"
"I say, it's none of your business."
"I say, quit acting foolish." XD that was a great part of the story X3.
Although I really like Crow and Zhan, not only as a duo, but as individual characters as well, because you both have your strengths and weaknesses, although I can't really imagine a world where Zhan was sitting around, doing his thing Without Crow around to make sure he's safe. I'm not saying that Zhan is irresponsible or unable to defend himself, or anything like that. But Crow really takes a shine to Zhan to make sure he's safe. If she was out, learning assassin skills, I'm pretty sure she would be thinking about him everyday, and trying to track him down. X3 Which would probably eventually bring her face to face with Zhan's multitude of genius traps and snares.

True. Like you said, Crow and Zhan is like a matching pairing. Kinda like Ying (Crow) and Yang (Zhan). Light and dark. Even their skin color are designed that way. But hey, its not like everyday Zhan would be in danger yeah and Crow doesnt need to save his butt everyday; He stays in the Valley of Peace afterall (I think i never emphasize that).
Anyway. At the break of this semester (which starts 3 weeks later). I think I am gonna make another comic series (length depends) on their background. It's already plotted.
But before that. Wish me luck on this exam.
