(and the second drawing in the series of my characters! <3)

This is Thunderpaw.

He is probably one of my oldest characters, ever.

Meaning I created him a long time ago, not that he's old in character age.

I created him before I started drawing, and he was one of the main characters in a game I played with a friend.

Because of this, he's got a pretty terrible personality and a Cliche back story, but I'll explain it anyway.

He is, in fact, a 'fan character' for the infamous book series Warriors by Erin Hunter.

He had that Brambleclaw complex where he had an evil father and everyone thought he was going to be evil too.

Except to an extent, he was.

He has this weird evil side that I cant go into detail about without giving away too many spoilers, that takes over his brain and makes him go in a wild rampage killing warriors instead of following the warrior code.

He even has that whole thing where his design changes, his claws get bigger/sharper, his eyes go red, and he cant control himself.

And then, after he's killed the rage wears off and he freaks out about all these dead bodies and blood all over his paws, he does the math, and then runs off.

(PROBABLY ONE OF THE WORST CHARACTERS ANYONE CAN EVER CREATE WITHOUT A GOOD REASON BEHIND IT. )

My reasoning is still in progress, but half of it is pretty OK in my opinion.

Short summery of his back story:

Thunderpaw was born into FieldClan, with 5 other siblings.
he lived out his kit-hood just fine, but once he became an apprentice he just couldn't figure out the warrior code.

he had the hardest time remembering all the rules and regulations that were supposed to come second nature to any clan cat, and was always getting himself into trouble.
The horrible reputation his father put on him had the clan judge him extremely harsh and thought he was being a troublemaker on purpose.

Soon after, he made up his mind.
He couldn't stand the judging looks and whispers behind his back everywhere he walked, and it was obvious he wasn't going to do anything good enough to prove himself, so he might as well give up now.

He told his brother Wolfpaw that he was going to leave the clan, he was the only one he trusted at the time, and that couldn't have been a worse mistake...

However Thunderpaw left FieldClan that night and decided he wouldn't go back, he'd go find a nice place to live out on his own, just be a loner, live a peaceful life without having to follow any sort of rules, and let him be in charge of himself.

He tried that for a few days but it really wasn't as great as he thought.

And that's when he ran into Starblood. She was a BloodClan warrior looking for other cats to recruit to their clan. Thunderpaw was pretty suspicious at first, thinking that the name was pretty sketchy and he'd heard some bad things about them in the past, and he really didn't want to be a part of another 'clan'
But eventually she convinced him to join, saying they didn't have to follow the silly 'warrior code' and as long as they followed what their leader said, everything would be fine.

After that, I cant really say what happens without getting into serious spoiler territory for the story Rise of The Star because this guy, is the main character of the second half of that series.

But basically he gets that lighting-shaped scar while in BloodClan, and he never earns a warrior name because he left his old clan as an apprentice. So he's 'Thunderpaw' for his entire life.

As far as his character in interaction with any of my other characters, he's kind of awkward and doesn't know what to do. He's in the top three of my favorite characters, he used to be number one but now he's tied with three others and he's not quite sure how he feels about not being The favorite as he was previously.

Alias: N/A (previously known as Thunderkit)

Gender: Male

Eye color: Deep Forest Green

Fur color: Tan-orange with Darker Tabby Stripes.

Scar information: Large scar across his left eye shaped like a lightning bolt, two other small scratches on either side.

Accesories: Usually none, sometimes shown with blue BloodClan Collar, covered with claws and teeth from his kills.

Special: He has a light gradient type marking across the top of his ears, front sides of his back legs, and all the way down his back. A lot of people don't notice this marking however, because any light colored fur completely goes away upon changing to his 'evil' form.

Random facts:

-A picture of Thunderpaw was the first thing I drew upon receiving a new computer that was specifically mine.

-He has had a ref picture ever since I joined DA, I just have never posted it due to terrible art quality and outdated design.

-He is the main subject of the longest animation I've ever done.
