^^^Boring picture title but whatever! I drew an older Summer Mist. I guess you could say adult. Though she's still lacking her cutie mark (I haven't thought one up yet.) Here she is doing geologist type activities. Why do geologists need maps and shizz? So they can study the landscape and identify different rock units in the area. You know, science stuff.
Maud stuff.
Maybe Maud is like, her mentor or something.
advised me to adjust her colors a tad bit. She's a slightly darker green and has pink eyes now. She even influenced her mane. And I think it works!
But knowing me Summer will go through about 10 more changes before I'm satisfied. Oh well...

Well she inherited her mother's flying talent only without the audaciousness. Whatever motivates Dash to be showy, does not show up in Summer at all. Not that she lacks the competitive drive, oh no, but if anything does drive her its more teamwork than singular efforts. (The most showy would would be Cherry by far.)
Summer is about discovery and uncovering mysteries (usually dealing with rocks) I have an "adventure" theme running through my dashbell kids. With Hightide having the biggest love for adventure and Summer having the least love for adventure, but given her interests and occupation, she still ends up having them. It's not so much the journey she frets but the inevitable peril. It's like they've got a chip on their shoulders or something. But for now, there are still aspects of this ponies personality that I'm still figuring out.
