Description My sister can be a real jerk.

Magic doesn’t always run directly through a family tree. It jumps around, skipping a generation here or there, and is generally unpredictable.....as you’d probably figure. Nobody’s ever really figured out why it ends up with those it does, but only one kid per generation usually inherits magical powers. In my family, it was my sister.

Growing up it wasn’t such a big deal, since my aunt put special limitations on her powers—training wheels, she called them. It kept Grace from abusing her powers too much. The thing was, when she turned 16 the limitations expired...and Grace was going to take full advantage of that.

We’d had a argument a couple years back about who’d win in a fight, Superman or Wonder Woman. Grace was adamant that Wonder Woman would be able to out-think and beat Superman because “guys never use their heads”. I was sure Superman would overpower Wonder Woman. Like I said, a dumb argument—but Grace didn’t forget it.

Our city has it’s own comic-con, and it’s a fairly big deal, especially for people as into comics as Grace and I were growing up. I decided to dress up as Superman. Grace said she couldn’t go, but I’m sure that’s when she got the idea. I walked out of the house on my way to the bus stop to catch a ride downtown.

As the bus headed towards the center, my head started feeling weird. Kind of....fuzzy almost, if that makes sense. It didn’t hurt or anything so I ignored it. We reached the convention center and I went into the bathroom to change.

The first couple hours went by as a blur. Then, at about 3 PM, I got a text from Grace.

“Having fun, Natalie?”

Natalie? That’s weird. My name is Nathan. It’s almost like......I rushed into the bathroom as the fuzziness began to fade and i stared into the mirror.

Long blonde hair. Two nicely sized orbs in my chest. A thin waist. My costume clung to me nicely....and definitely wasn’t Superman.

I was a girl. A real pretty one, if I do say so myself. Dressed as Wonder Woman.

I grabbed for my phone, wanting answers....but before I could do so she texted again.

“I really do like the photos you've been sending. Check your camera roll.”

I opened the app and was shocked at what I saw. Dozens of pictures. Pictures of me posing, some with girls but mostly with guys. Pictures of me grinning as I clung onto the arm of a muscular guy in a Superman costume. A picture of the guy carrying me bridal style. A picture of us kissing(!). I was in disbelief and just stared at my phone when another text came in.

“Well, time to bring Natalie back. She’s more than a bit of a flirt, and I doubt you can act just like her. See you at home bro. Oh....,and just wondering.....what do you think of Wonder Woman now? Lol”

As the the fuzzy feeling once more invaded my thoughts and my body started posing and playing with it’s hair, all I could think was “my sister can be a real jerk.”
