Awesome job, I love the pose and foreshortening! The colors blend very well, and the lightning looks great!
All I'd suggest is to make her hand a bit larger and the joints and lines more angular. But overall, this is a lovely piece!

It's kind of weird to see Azula in such a comic style (and by comic I mean 'funny' or lighthearted') The expression is kind of un-Azula-esque too, methinks.

my thing is that the lightning isnt bright enough. if there were only a nice white glow on it, especially at the point where its coming out of her fingertips.
other than that, tis a very smooth piece, great lineart. thumbs up!

Top part of the picture is kinda empty but I still like it.
I know that Avatar isn't an 100% anime but I still think of it as one 'cause it's just that cool.

I still think of it as at least an 80% anime. I mean the art is done by real anime artists, they have a truck load of Asian characters, the story was inspired by some Asian story/ies (donβt know which), the story line progresses and evolves with each episode like most animes and UNlike most American cartoons. So even though itβs made in America I think that thatβs the only thing preventing it from being considered an anime cartoon.
I am even planning to dress up as Katara for an upcoming anime convention.

yes its asain influneced, which is awesome its still done in america. only the inbetweens and colors are doen in korea..not japan. i'm a professional american animator, so i can tell you thats really thers a big diffrence to easter animation and american. american animation uses the 12 princples of animation and most animes dont. haha even the way we place our peg is diffrent. i love both dont get me wrong. but i know people that work on that show that would be offended if it just got clumped as another "anime" wanna be.
anime is the japanese word for animation, so if its not made in japan, ergo not an anime.
