Description I'm no Actionscript Guru, but I have spent a day working out how to do this and now I want to show the world just what a smartypants I really am

A few months ago I spotted a tutorial on this by :develsimisko: but when I tracked the link down it was broken Naturally I hadnt thought to download it at the time so I dont know if this approach matches his/hers but hats off to him/her anyway for the inspiration.

I will upload a ZIP file with the swf and fla files in, just look in the actionscript screens to see how I did it. I have noted the script pretty thoroughly but reply here if you need any help...I can't promise anything but I'll try

Heh, cool! I got mentioned!

I know now that the link is dead but since I havn't really been active on this community the last years I really didn't know that so I could fix it in time before I lost the files, sorry.

I couldn't open the .fla-file you made though. I'm using Macromedia Flash MX and I get the message "Unexpected file format".

Sidenote:
I've just uploaded another tutorial that you might find interesting.

It works. I even found out where to change the color at (go me x)) not too sure how well it would work in some type of old film lookin' movie.

Perhaps I'll try it out later.
