Description
Spring brought new life to the Baisley Ranch. Ivan Baisley and his eldest children, Ben and Penny, found new calves everytime they made rounds through the vast pastures.

Back on the main property, Rose and her sister Edie were watching the newest additions to their family run around a small paddock. The family’s two best mares, Sugar and Roo, had foals just days before. Both fillies were sired by the family’s Quarter Horse stallion, Tank. Sugar’s filly was a little flaxen chestnut that seemed born to run. Pistol as Ivan had started calling the spirited foal lived up to her breed’s reputation. Even at a young age the filly showed great sprinting ability and nice “turn on a dime” ability. The other filly was out of the smokey cream mare Roo. Goldie as Mimi, Ivan’s wife, had named her was golden like the sun, and had a more laid back attitude. The palomino could easily keep up with her half-sister, but she seemed less fiery. Ivan hoped that that trait would stict with the filly as he already could see Pistol would be a handful to train.
