Description
In the 21st century, the history of Earth was irrevocably altered. The veil between reality and what is now named the Astral Plane shifted across the solar system, bringing beings and events of power, imagination, and nightmares, to life. It was known as the Astral Awakening, and its apex of disaster came with the rise of the Great Beasts. Across the world these giants targeted cities and were only angered by military countermeasures. Beyond the cities ruined by the Great Beasts' rampage, it was as if the planet itself had declared war on humanity: New deadly diseases tore through communities, earthquakes and volcanos brought havoc and the waters rose so high that a third of North America ended up permanently submerged under growing oceans, along with any nation below sea level. For a time, it was believed to be the End of Days.
