Description
I decided to do a render of a Clam, some pearls and a Spyro Life Statue from the first Spyro game on Blender 2.55.I couldn't find a reference picture of a clam so I couldn't remember if there was any other patterns and what not to put on it so I just improvised. I always found it funny how clams could barf out Spyro statues lol.
Next I'm going to work on a crystalised Dragon from the first Spyro game and possible re-do an orb render I was doing.

I think it was just supposed to be an ornateΒ wooden chest, based on the noises it made and the particle effects when you broke it.The texture on it was similar toΒ Spyro's scales

I never thought they were clams...always thought they were just chests and the eyes were the life trying to get out or something.

This! It brought back so many good memories of my childhood and my old spyro games. I grew up with spyro games. I almost cried upon seeing this, thinking of how the new spyro games pale in comparison to the old games. They should have let Spyro died with Dignity. T^T

Blender is the hardest 3d modelling program to use.
I reccommend you start with Anim8or (I use it to this day, and its really good for making models.) if your new to 3D.

Not particually. (I use Windows everywhere I go.)
I think Sculptris has a MAC version, but I'm not too sure.
Sculptris is more of a 3D sculpting program than a 3D Modelling one, but you can export the sculpts for use in 3d models.

I loved that box with eyes, and later they replaced it with a stupid butterfly bottle
