We are few but we are proud!

.hack and especially Haseo fans are actually not that few :v
Most of us in america do not demote Haseo as "just an emo kid", though in the manga (don't remember which one) he really does act emo. Most of us here are also really big Haseo fans~

And just to throw this out there, I'm an Albel fan, too~

Haseo and Albel are total badasses to me. I wish Albel joined sooner in SO3. He was a beast on the battlefield!
Haseo to me, another badass, deserved a 4th game. The 3rd game went by so fast. All and all, the only thing I hated about GU was that Haseo falls under the same spell most anime-cool-cats fall for: a weak little girly-girl who whines for a savior instead of standing back to back with the hero and whipping ass. One of the things I hate about JPN society.

They are, they are~
I definitely agree with Absol being the best on the battlefield! I played Star Ocean - Till the End of Time for the PS2, and he kicked ass big-time! I was calling "Noooooooo!!!" to the TV when Absol left the group. xD

I played through the second game so quickly it seemed to be about the same length as the third one. I'm playing through them again to try and complete more of it.
It does get rather tiresome the bad-asses always falling for the weaklings. Luckily, though, they game us fans an option in the last game with the marriage/best wishes thing. LOL Some of those are hilarious! x3

Yeah I played SO4 too. But to me, that had the weakest cast story wise. Loved Edge, Faize, and Arumat. But Crowe never joined and the majority of the girls had limited personality.

You know how to get Albel to join for good right? You gotta sleep at the inn in that business town and answer his questions right after he attacks Fate.

I'd noticed the lack of any real character background in the game, it's nice to know the others aren't like that. If that's the case, though, it might be worth the money to get the others. ^^

So I was right when I thought your actions change what happens
I've only played through once, without really looking into it enough to find that out. Thanks for the info~! Now you've got me curious, I'll have to play it again. ;D
After I finish all my other games, though. I still need to finish the 4th .hack game, and then I have some new games I'd like to play through.

The second time you play a game, do it with a guide off the net to help you get all the things you missed. You can have Albel in the last BATTLE!!!!!

stars-water In reply to Kokayi5 [2011-08-07 03:23:58 +0000 UTC]

Will-do! ^^ I just don't like using guides the first time I play a game, it would kill the fun. :v
Wahaha, kick the Creator's ass, Albel 8D

On some level I can understand Luther. He was pissed that something he told forever to create and make money off of, had the nerve to tell him leave them alone.

stars-water In reply to Kokayi5 [2011-08-07 04:19:48 +0000 UTC]

I can somewhat understand that, as well, but for him to go off and destroy the line he created throws all arguments out the window. But then, I'm the type of person who would be marveled, fascinated, and overjoyed if one of my creations had enough self to seek me out and tell me to get lost. xD

Kokayi5 In reply to stars-water [2011-08-07 04:32:41 +0000 UTC]

I wouldn't be overjoyed. If your creation doesn't respect you or want you then what have you done? Doesn't that mean you're a bad creator? Wouldn't it be better to be friends with your creation help them out thru life?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stars-water In reply to Kokayi5 [2011-08-07 05:05:08 +0000 UTC]

If my creations didn't want or respect me, I would take that as them being them, and try to earn their respect as I would anyone else. If they had enough self to not like the one who created them, that would not make me a bad creator but rather one good enough to actually give them their own individual personality. It would make me sad if they didn't like me, but that wouldn't stop me from being happy that they are each their own person, and I was the one who created them.

Kokayi5 In reply to stars-water [2011-08-07 08:53:53 +0000 UTC]

I'm not saying force people to worship you or anything. But a little gratitude wouldn't kill them. I understand by the time Fate caught up with Luther at the end he was frustrated and pissed off. He wanted his own life and lives for his people, so he struck down what he saw was a corrupt god. Which is true. Is Luther was a nice guy, he stopped being that way when the money rolled in. He should've never made the game think for itself or evolve or except it when it did and let it take it's own course. He might not have been able to except that the game didn't need him anymore.

stars-water In reply to Kokayi5 [2011-08-07 20:00:41 +0000 UTC]

Well, there were loads of other options he could have taken than deciding to destroy them, such as simply putting a barrier around that pitchfork thing so they didn't find out a bout it in the first place. Then he wouldn't have to worry about them even so much as finding out the truth.

Either way, with the way my characters are I wouldn't be surprised if they hated me for giving them all hellish lives. One of my biggest wishes is for my characters, and my worlds to be real, no matter the cost. It's for that reason that I can only somewhat understand getting mad at them for lack of gratitude.
It could also have something to do with real life, too. I myself don't really have any gratitude for my mother just because she's my mother. I can't stand her because she is the way she is. Wouldn't it be the same with characters coming to life? Everyone's entitled to their opinions.

I'm sorry if I annoyed you with that. I guess you're right.
At the end of the day we write stories for our entertainment. And if a character found out about that they'd be mad. As I would be if I found out I'm just a toy for a higher being and I'm only allowed to live.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stars-water In reply to Kokayi5 [2011-08-07 22:33:55 +0000 UTC]

No, no, you didn't annoy me. ^^ It's actually been a rather interesting chat I thought. c:
When you put it that, way, it does sound really bad. lol xD But who really knows? The only ones who would know how our characters would react is our own characters, when spoken of as being a separate person.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Kokayi5 In reply to stars-water [2011-08-07 23:36:38 +0000 UTC]

But I try not to let it get to me. I mean what are we gonna do not write anymore?
All we can do is hope that the characters would understand that all their suffering is for the sake great epic story telling!

stars-water In reply to Kokayi5 [2011-08-07 23:44:29 +0000 UTC]

I'm sorry, I'm laughing like crazy at that last part. xD But you're right. =] It's also that suffering that makes them strong, no? In a world without suffering, we would all have weak hearts.

Kokayi5 In reply to stars-water [2011-08-08 03:55:22 +0000 UTC]

Yeah and aliens could descend on that world and whip our asses without a fight. Of course if they were friendly we'd likely get along more in a world without suffering.

Yeah, I like 'em too. But people in the US put Kite over him instead of liking them both. They try to write him off as "emo". That gets thrown around WAY too much.

I really liked his fight scene in the openning against Bordeaux's gang.

Y'know Azure K is playable again in .hack//LINK. I loved having him around in the Forest of Death. I should draw 'em. Balmung's gonna be in LINK too.

i played with both of them in the 3rd game, but i've never heard of link!? or it that the R1 version of The World that only came out in japan? (i don't remember the name)

Kokayi5 In reply to pyrogina [2009-08-17 12:45:35 +0000 UTC]

Naw, LINK is a new game on PSP based on the manga by the same name. Though the game will be adapted a little to fit better with the Kite and Haseo's stories. Only problem is, parties in that game are more about partnerships than groups. There's over 100 characters, most new some old, but you cna only have one character with you before you enter a dungeon. So it's a lead character named Tokio and who ever he picks (Haseo, Balmung, AzKite, Kite, etc.). And you set up bonds and friendships that way. All ther characters will still interact though.

I'll give you a link to LINK.

Now, the only problem is if they decide not enough .hack fans have a PSP in the US and so it's not worth bringin' it. Which is what happens with a lot of Tales games. They feel like it's pointless since the US usually spends money on 1st Person Shooters and sports games. Which is kinda true. My sister showed ma graph of the ratios of video games buying in the US based on genre and those two were the highest. Sad times for us RPG fans.

Kokayi5 In reply to pyrogina [2009-08-19 20:43:30 +0000 UTC]

I wish. But it seems this time they're focusing on 2-man groups instead of 3. The lead character, Tokio, and any of the other original players characters. Plus they'll won't be an online feature for .hack until the World Online is released.
