a new gemsona

Tektite was born within the Sol system, but not on earth. She was formed on Jupiter’s most massive moon, Titan. The satellite’s dense atmosphere brewed intense storms that pummeled the surface. Being somewhat of an immaculate conception, Tek had no other gems around to guide her on how to form, so the process was lengthy and repetitive.
When she finally harnessed the power of her gem and learned to channel lightning, Tek found she had the ability to travel and leave her world. In a flash she was able to visit all the planets in Sol, including earth. After much observation, she determined that humans would not react well to her presence, so she remained on Titan and vowed to protect earth from any invaders trying to enter the Sol system from outside of the heliosphere.
Because she is so accustomed to the frigid temperatures of Titan and space, earth is almost unbearably warm to her. If Tek must visit the planet, she does so either at night or during rainstorms.
Her weapon is a long, needle like spear with a cross shaped blade. It’s pulled from the raw-cut gem on the back of her head.
