winter is a jackalopetrade with โฅ ^^
We're supposed to get it done before the new year and because I'm going away tomorrow until the 31st, I had to get it done+submitted today (:
I actually wanted to do a gift art for ~Merillian for a while. I think I might do another one for her though..

My second time working with ink. I used it like paint.. with a paintbrush..
yknow, since The Bahamas is sub-tropical, we only really have two seasons: wet and dry
We don't really have the four (temperate) seasons: spring, summer, autumn, winter.

I like the way you drew the faces on this one. It reminds me of the old children's books I used to read (I hope that didn't sound like an insult). The art style is relaxing and still fun.. The colors really make it relaxing.. and I love jackalopes to death.. >.>
It's a very good piece, 8/10 (It could definitly have more jackalope and teddy bears..)

Being able to direct, like in a film sense? No, illustration doesn't include that. I'm not fond of directing, myself - I don't think I have the personality for it.

I really love the facial features/proportions (the boy's profile, mmm), and the use of blue is really lovely. And the inking, my god. I've tried inking with a brush and it's HARD, so kudos on doing such a lovely job with it. (The minimal colors and the line weight almost have a comic-like quality, it's really nice.)
