You know you’re obsessed with musical synthesizers if you buy a commission involving one of them...
This is my character Reese messing around with a Synclavier system's VPK keyboard. The Synclavier was a popular but grossly expensive synthesizer and sampler workstation of the 1980’s. Notable users included Michael Jackson (the “Beat It” intro in particular), Frank Zappa, Depeche Mode, Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits (aka composer for The Princess Bride), and film composers Alan Silvestri and Alan Howarth.
Needless to say, the Synclavier is my dream sampler, and even had the honor of getting the next best thing: permission to use the factory sound libraries meant for it!
Technical jargon aside, thanks to for your willingness to draw this!
