GENERAL;;

Name: Crowcall.
Past Names: Growl, Ripley.
Gender: Male.
Age: 27 moons.
Original Clan: None.
Rank: Warrior.

PERSONAL;;

Brief Personality;;

{Courageous} {Brash} {Impetuous} {Genuine}

[Courageous:] Crowcall is very brave and confident in everything he does-- be it talking to a cat of high-rank, facing a stronger foe, or going alone in the frost-bitten world --the cat's always got courage, and he doesn't seem to be afraid of anything. While this is a good trait for being one of the few survivors in the frozen apocalypse, it can be tiring, as most of the cats around him have already lost hope or are weary about his environment. As it is, Crow's confidence in things leads him to be one of the most optimistic and energetic cats alive, and he's always ready to do the hardest tasks in order to assist his clan as a whole.

[Brash:] The tom tends to be very loud and assertive at times, forcing his way into conversations and demanding things without pause if he or another cat needs them. This is a good trait, because Crow doesn't beat around the bush, but it can also be an annoying one as well, as his volume and pushiness can often cause squabbles. He can't help it, though-- the cat has been so used to being deprived of things and being self-dependent in the freeze that he hasn't quite gotten used to relying on others, much less a clan, to help him survive.

[Impetuous:] Crow is very impulsive, as he does almost everything on a whim and without thinking. Because of this, he often gets himself into trouble, as he doesn't go for more information in an argument, he believes everyone at point-blank, and he says and does things without considering the consequences. This doesn't mean that he's stupid, however; the cat just does what he thinks is right at the time, and when he does stop to think (usually a battle or a plan,) they're very carefully thought through, showing how smart he really is.

[Genuine:] He always tells the truth and tends to be righteous. Crowcall's first reaction to questions, being the reckless and impulsive cat he is, is to tell the truth without pause. Not only that, but the cat divides actions into two planes, and two planes only: right and wrong, white and black. This trait often leads him to be a sort of tattle tale-- whenever he sees something that goes against the warrior code, or would harm Brineclan as a whole, his first compulsion is to tell another cat, or take matters into his own hands and stop the bad deed. However, while this can be detrimental to a plot or scheme, it's one of the redeeming aspects of his personality, as most cats know that Crow never lies, and always does things truthfully and without malicious intent...for the most part.

History;;

[ Birth. ]

It was well before the freeze, and Crowcall was, much like most kittens, born to a mother who'd been abandoned at the news of her pregnancy. While this would have affected his kittenhood dramatically, to his and his family's luck, his mother and the kittens were taken in by a loving and stable couple nearby. The kittens, Crow included, were named by their defining traits that set each apart from one another-- which is how the cat got his first name: Growl.

Most of Growl's first memories were of the stories that his mother told-- ones about fearsome forest cats up by the mountains who lived in groups and survived only off of the land, a land where there was virtually no human presence. Little did the kitten know that these stories would help save his life later on.

[ A Happy Goodbye? ]

Growl and his siblings were taken care of, raised, and loved in the couple's home, in which they grew up in until the time in which they were old enough to be adopted by other families. This excited him-- what kind of family would pick him up? Would they name him differently? Did they have children, or other pets? Will he be let outside, like the many cats he saw through the window? --however, the kitten didn't have much time to think about it, as he was the first to go when the time came. All Growl was able to do was get a quick glance back at his littermates and mother before he was carried out of the door by a stoic and stony-faced woman.

His new home was nice and all, but the house tended to be chaotic and noisy, what with it being a foster home. Growl-- now renamed Ripley, for the black spots on his back that tended to ripple when he moved --was never really able to get attached to anyone there, as kids came and went in the home, nor did he get much time alone. Kids came and went, and the kitten, now the age of an apprentice, was often forgotten about, the bustle of the home and well-being of the children being put before the little cat adopted as a play-toy for them all. Ripley was lonesome, and he often had to find food or beg from the humans in order to feed himself. He often wondered whatever happened to his littermates. Did their lives turn out better than his?

[ Freezerburnt. ]

Then, the first signs of the chill appeared come winter. First came the frost: icy, thorny vines that crawled up the windows Ripley had so loved to look out through when the noise and activity got to be too much. Then, there was the snowstorms-- blizzards --that turned the landscape into a sheet of white and gray. On a particular day, when the adults were at their jobs and the kids were at school, the worst hit, piles and piles of snow blocking Ripley's view and trapping him inside. Ripley wasn't too concerned at first, as he thought that the humans would easily get through the walls of snow and ice in order to get him and their belongings, but as the days passed, he realized one chilling fact: the humans were never coming back, and if he wanted to survive, he had to get out.

And Ripley was determined to do so. He tried everything: scraping at the windows, chipping away the wood at the bottom of the front doors, and even going so far as to break a pipe to see if he could make the hole big enough to crawl through-- and after the first two weeks, the lights went off. Ripley was trapped, alone, inside of the frozen dark. However, one day, the cat discovered the open window set near the top of the attic wall. It was too far to climb, though, and he was pretty sure after a few times of trying that cat's weren't supposed to scale solid brick anyways. Once again, the little cat's drive was put to the test, and Ripley searched for a new way to get to the window. So, he began to stack things.

The tower started out with the things that were already there: large blankets, pillows, clothes, carpets, stuffed animals...things that he could drag easily. Next, he started to pull larger things that took much more time, things like: books, suitcases, and boxes-- and soon, his pile reached just a few feet away from the window, and Ripley jumped out, free.

[ Time Is Ticking.. ]

The first thing the cat did was look out at what the world cat become: cold, empty, and void of the human presence that had thrived not weeks before the cold set in. Ripley knew that, now, he would have to find another form of life; it was the only way that he could possibly survive on his own. So, the first thing that he did was seek out the forest cats that his mother had spoken about; even though the world seemed to be made of snow and ice, he knew that, if the cats were as incredible as his mother described, they would be the ones who would have survived the freeze.

He set off as soon as he could, knowing that he only had a short amount of time before the cold overtook him and he would freeze or starve to death. After a few days of searching, he was about to give up, almost dismissing his mother's stories as merely that-- stories. But then, something curious happened. When he looked up at the white-died sky, the cat saw a few black shapes circling above: crows, big black birds that let out racous cries into the bitter cold. So, having nothing else to do, Ripley went with his instinct and went into the direction of the crow's voices, and after a day or two, he finally found the group of cats-- and was shocked to see that the image he'd built up in his head of the felines wasn't exactly true; they were barely standing, much less fending for themselves against the frozen Earth. However, he knew that he would be safer there with Brineclan and its survivors-- so he was allowed to join, much to his relief, taking on a new and final name: Crowcall, after the birds and their cry that had helped him find the clan.

ROLEPLAY EXAMPLE;;

"The world of Aurora Austra was a one filled with just a few colours that meant anything to her. They were, as followed: white, purple, green, blue, and brown. They symbolized the things that she had grown close to, and the things that she referred to as her home. White and blue, for the arctic world around her, filled with polar ice caps, glaciers, and freezing sea water. Purple, for the colour of her blood and it's status in the society she lived in. Green, for one of her dearest friends who spent way too much time with reptiles and books. And, lastly, brown, for her other dearest friend who often struggled with the millions of facets of his personality. All of them were important to her, and all of them were things that, when put together, summarized her life. Of course, that didn't mean that she was content. No; while Aurora's life centered around each of those colours and the things they connected to, they were the only colours in her life. She often, to friends, liked to describe the feeling by quoting one of her favourite books, written by The Diplomat: "It was a proven theory that, when any being with a conscious self was granted with the thing that they had wanted, the being grew bored and lax-- and it moved on to something else that it happened to fancy next."

So, like life tends to do, one day it granted her a solution to her lack of colour: a game." -- (*w* taken from a little intro thing off of a document about my fantrolls haha hopefully thats good)
