I like the delicateness and inticate form of the flower contrasting with the hard and uniform architecture.

Thanks so much, yes I had to work with the colours to make it somewhat stand out though the original colour is purple, and quite a nice purple, but it just sort of got lost with the architecture behind, glad you liked the overall effect, and you seem quite knoledgeable in plants so if you happen to know the name of this flower I would be glad to know, so I could plant some in my garden ;D

It looks like an Agapanthus; they range from light blues to purples (you can get white ones too). They need sun and do well if they are allowed to get root-bound, and they don't take winters too well...in the UK you might want to grow it in a pot where they can get root bound and you can bring it in the winter (they are originally from S.Africa). They do make good subjects for photos, as the flowers emerge they are great.
