Brilliant focus - the dof givees the sense of the pigeon jumping out the photo at me so brings it to life - equally the blurred wings make them feel softer and more magical while the direct focus on the eyes adds a level of intensity. Interesting choice of a square frame which does work well with the main bird but slightly annoys me at the wing tips. I would love to know what this shot would look like if there was white space over the birds shoulder to the right instead. Just musing thouhg...

Oh wow, fab capture! Perfect focus on his eye which then goes on to soften beautifully in all the right places. I like this shot a lot.
