The day of the endurance competition, was, as you would expect in Africa, hot. Ben and Otachi had been on the course since about 5 AM, since the course was long, and they didn't want to have to ride into the night. Even so, they'd had to stop and take an hour break at noon, since it was simply too hot to continue. They'd continued on their way without major incident (despite Otachi spooking at some of the local wildlife), and were nearing the end of the course when it hit sundown...(All through this, Ben couldn't help but wonder why they had to go so far for Otachi's first competition... oh well, at least Otachi's new groom, Yasmin, had been able to come with them, and had actually proved to be of some help with the horse - not that Ben would ever admit it, of course.)

Otachi's first real endurance competition!! Hopefully he does well - I've always loved African scenery, and it seems like such a beautiful country - even though I don't like traveling, I've always wanted to go there

Even though english is my first language, I'm not very good at it either uvu;; Maths and computer science have always been more of my thing in school :,D And yeee I can see how it would help, it's great that you can do more outside of school
