Some of the shapes were made on Adobe Illustrator, I then dragged them into Photoshop and did the more advanced editing on that. You could easily do all of it on Photoshop though.

Oh! Makes sense now, I never knew that, I just added it in because I wanted to show the character was amazed by the beanstalk.
