I created this little rain spirit over the summer. Originally I was just in the mood to draw an oiran, but as the embellishment grew she turned into some sort of rain spirit. That's why the hem of her skirt doesn't really end in feet and seems almost to be floating away in the wind. She carries a parasol with a dragon in the clouds on it. Dragons are water spirits that begin their lifes in oceans and streams and live them out in the sky bringing rain. Her uchikake is decorated with clouds and little dots meant to look almost like rain. Her obi is decorated with butterflies which can herald an oncoming storm.Media: Technical pen
