It’s an unfathomable thought, to lose your partner. It’s one of my biggest fears in life, and I can’t imagine the pain it will cause. The horror of losing them to themselves, however, would be more than traumatic.

I wanted to show that even though men can be in happy, fulfilling relationships, that dark thoughts and feelings can bubble beneath the surface. That a spouse can do everything in their power to love and nurture, and yet the man can still go under.

But I want to stress that if anyone has experienced this:

🩶 It’s not your fault.
🤍 It wasn’t your fault.
🖤 It can’t be your fault.

Your love was the most powerful grip in the world, and you can’t blame it if depression caused it to slip.

My condolences to anyone in this world who has lost someone to suicide, partner or not. I am so sorry.
