Actually the lagoon between the reef she is on and the shore is very calm and it is where we swam in the mornings. As for the rough water on the other side of the reef, it wasn't a problem for my surfer friends. I also did quite of bit of body boarding in those waves and it was a blast. I'll have to post some of the surf photos later.
