オーフィリア Graphite and watercolor. Mood image: www.yokai.com/wp-content/uploa…Costume design for Ophelia in a production of Hamlet set in Heian Japan. Tried to use lighter colors and peach blossoms on ice, a common Japanese aesthetic symbol. All representing innocence.
For every design in this series, I got inspiration from a Japanese monster. For this one, I was inspired by the rokurokubi, a woman with a freakishly long neck (seen in mood image above).
