Description 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Hemi Cuda

From the info sign:

The Barracuda had a distinguished history before
it got a Hemi. Introduced in 1964, it was the first
"pony" car, beating the Mustang to market by two weeks.
Although many thought the Mustang was better looking, the
Barracuda had its followers, and re-styling in 1967 and
1970 brought the car to its own. A race version
of the Hemi engine was available in the Barracuda
in 1968. Everyday 'Cuda drivers finally got to
taste the power when Plymouth started offering a
street-legal version in 1970. This history-making
automobile was used to introduce the public to what
speed fans would come to call the ultimate muscle
car. In 1970, Chrysler added a powerful 426 Hemi
engine to its Plymouth Barracuda. Named for its
hemispherical, dome shaped combustion chamber,
the Hemi has been known to get up to 500 horsepower.

But, the fun did not last long. Hemi 'Cudas were
only built in 1970 and 1971. In 1974, The Barracuda
went out of production, in part due to the high gas
prices and tougher clean air laws.

The 1970 Hemi 'Cuda displayed here has been
documented by Galen Govier as the second '70
Hemi 'Cuda built on the first day of production.
It was the official "Press Preview Car". This is
#2 of 320 1970 Hemi 'Cudas in the Chrysler Registry
and is one of only 652 total 1970 Hemi 'Cudas
produced (284 four-speeds and 368 automatics).
Never driven on the street after its full off-body
restoration, this 1970 Hemi 'Cuda features FE5
Rally Red paint, black vinyl top and interior,
leather front buckets, six-way driver's seat,
automatic transmission, console, and a 426 Hemi
2x4 V8. This unique photo car was hand built
at the factory before line production.

While this car would certainly make the list, I don't know if I could rank it as high as second on that list.

Awesome! I have a purple
1971 Challenger RT 440 6-pack
in my gallery, but not a purple Cuda.
