Blue Angels flight line, Selfridge Airforce Base, Michigan.On Saturday April 21, 2007, Blue Angel 6 crashed near
the end of the teams demonstration at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort in South Carolina. The pilot, Lt. Cmdr. Kevin J. Davis of Pittsfield, Mass. was killed. Our thoughts and prayers
go out to all who knew him.
This photo was taken many years ago by my late father at
one of the very first airshows I had ever been to. It has been
posted on my mirror in my bedroom ever since, and has taken
on new meaning.
I will leave this as my Featured Deviation as my small tribute to a fellow pilot.
May he rest in peace.
