This is a very well-drawn, step-by-step, sinking sequence where the damsel gradually gets stuck and sinks into the swamp.
I like your storyline where she needs to get to town and is faced with a dilemma... Β does she turn back or press ahead in spite of the marsh mud? Β I like how you have her more concerned about her shoes as she trudges across the swamp and not realizing the severity of her situation until she's stuck knee-deep in the mire and slowly sinking into the dark depths below.
You've depicted the stickiness of the mud is very well as it grasps and holds her feet and legs fast... Β even her bag ends up caught in its adhesive grip. Β I also like how you've depicted the, "For Every Action There Is An Opposite And Equal Reaction" part of science where pulling on one legs drives her other leg deeper as she seesaws back and forth, working her legs further into the trap.
Nice job on the background as well... Β the dismal remoteness you've given the swamp is simple yet very effective in depicted the feel of gloominess of this comic.
