$20 is about four times too cheap for a starting bid for a character of this calibre. I'd pay $200-$300 for something like this. This is an extremely cheap price for such an incredible design and no one could "easily create this themselves". This is the result of years of hard work and study.
One of the rudest things someone can say to an artist is that their work isn't worth the price. Just because you can't afford the design doesn't mean it's too expensive.

Every time I look at this gorgeous designs, I think that the artist takes too little for his art. Because I rarely see so beautifully drawn adoptables. If you can create something like this, you should do it, not resent other people's prices. For example, I know that I can't do something with unusual and original designs like that.
Yes, in addition, I can't always spend $20-70 for the hobby. But I think that it didn't make the price unfair. Price based only on the skills and labor of the artist not on how much can pay one viewer.

Personally, I believe this should be going for much, much more. The overall quality and originality of this piece is at its finest, and I have never seen a design like this one. Plus, that seems incredibly rude to say pricing is too much. That's like saying 'your art is not worthy enough to be priced this high'.
I've seen designs that are incomparable to this, and they've gone for $60.
quacknear spends so much time on their art and designs, and they definitely deserve a lot more than just 20.
Artists have to eat too, y'know. They have lives. They have needs.

The artist spends all day working on their designs and most likely sell these designs to make a living, it's not uncommon.
No one is under obligation to buy a person's art, so it is entirely up to the artist to charge the amount they see fit.
It's also not uncommon for adoptables to fetch £20 +
Also, if someone was to use this adoptable as their own without purchasing it first, that is straight up stealing.
quacknear is super talented and creative, and most often these adoptables sell via autobuy,
and I can see why with the amount of detail that goes into them.
