I would be giving a critique here but as you aren't asking for the formal one, I'll be simply stating some opinions I have and if you disagree, it is alright.

First of all, thumbs up for the fact that your ship doesn't have a bridge tower. The idea that you need one when your weapons are controlled from other areas of the ship instead of the bridge is stupid. As such the model seems on-point in that regard but the way you depict it has some issues as well.

Namely, the huge windows. They are a downside in my books as, despite giving a nice view, they are a liability just like a bridge tower. In fact, it gets worse than that with windows, since on this model they are covering almost every vertical surface of the ship. And while some may say those are hangar doors, I am 99% convinced that the Nebula-class didn't have hangars with openings all along the hull.

On top of that is the number of huge windows where the ship's bridge is placed, the little superstructure above the engines. It is a smaller target, but those large, well iluminated windows would be easy to target.

If someone will then say that those sideways windows are important because they are openings to fire guns out of, then I ask you: Did that ever work well for Venator-class Star Destroyer or other ships that had them? No. The reason is that they present a easy target, once again, as in case of shield breaches their environmental containment fields wouldn't be able to block a Laser shot, especially since they would be, most likely, pure Particle shields.

Otherwise the design is good, but I would recommend to lay off the windows. They don't seem to improve scaling, instead they make the ship look like a Corvette due to the size of most of the windows and several seem to go over more decks than the rest, as all of them occupy what looks to me like two or three decks on a ship of this size.

In Star Trek it was a way of giving scale on the original Enterprise, but that ship was, for the most part, meant for exploration and not exactly humongous.

The Nebula-class, well, it doesn't work since the ship's size would turn windows normally into pinpricks realistically and makes any window large enough to be seen would be large enough for a B-Wing to fly vertically through with plenty of space left. And we all know about the Executor.

You know what's weird? in the Knights of the Old Republic graphic novels, particularlarily "Days of Fear, Nights of Anger", there is a ship that looks almost EXACTLY like this one. And I know you didn't come up with this yourself, I've seen others. I beleive that there has been some sort of miscommunication...not surprising, really, given the size of the Star Wars Canon.

Basically, the Star Destroyer class indicates a large capital warship with enough firepower and resources to single handedly attack and subdue or destroy a typical star system, analagous to a battleship/carrier hybrid. The Venator was the first in the modern line, and it was a Republic Star Destroyer, leading to the Victory, Imperator/ Imperial and others.

Actually, the Victory class came before the Venetor class...

Might wanna double check that one, chief. The Victory Fleet only fought in one battle during the Clone Wars, as prototypes, when the Venator class was already in mass production.

Yea they are my favorite too, I think the Venator is the most superior designed and imagined ship in the star wars universe.

Why would the new republic create star destroiers??
dosnt sound like a class of ship a fair system of government would use?
all the same nice design.

Well star destroyer is just a class of ship like battleship or cruiser. They are most popular as ships of the Empire who used them for less than nice reasons in most cases, but that doesn't mean having a star destroyer makes you an inherintly evil goverment. If you read any post Endor novels the New Republic actually used many many of the same ships as the Empire did, often caputred ones, up trough and after the end of the Galactic Civil War.

I agree.

It isn't the Star Destroyers that are evil, it's how they're used that's evil.

Personally, the Star Destroyers and their various forms like the Super Star Destroyer are my favorite line of ships for some reason.

Well I have read a lot of Star Wars, and I would have said the use of Star Destroyers was a pragmatic choice.

I think, and it is a personal opinion, that you tend to name your ships to inspire, Star Destroyer, i think was a name meant to inspire fear, that and simple fact of delineating the good guys and bad guys in the film's
Personally, I would have gotten raid of them as soon as, not want to be associated with the old regime.

Just an opinion

Destroyer is a real life naval size classification.
