You may consider this just a "quick shot" but oh just look how much you captured in it!!! It's totally awesome! One in "splash down" mode, one with landing gear down and that reflected in the lake surface and the next one coming in with wings extended and in full glory.....all elements are there and together makes for a "perfect" shot!!!!! Awesome!!!! Besides, I love mallards! Wonderful work here!

It was a quick shot cos i just swung as i saw them coming in and was lucky to grab it ..
You are making me Cynthia ...when you put it like that i can see things that i missed...it was the splashdown that grabbed me,Mallards are very under appreciated ,so many colours and texturs and they will perfom for peanuts,well actually but that isnt the phrase ...

Ah, yes, mallards are SO under appreciated! They have such beauty; like you say, the many colors and textures to them. That beautiful sheen to their feathers also; I love that!
