Lets go with feet ,they are Jesses ,they allow a falconer to keep control of a bird while it is on the glove or in training, and allow a bird to be secured on a perch outside of its aviary

Great shot Martin., I handled a Red Tail several times last year, he was not used to being handled very much which was sad as he should have been, anyway scarey bird when they are skittish like that, I certainly would not recommend hugging one.
