I highly recommend Kurenai to any of you who haven't seen it yet. 12 episode series, beautiful animation, great characters.Anyhow, I drew some Benika/Lin fanart. Since Benika (If you haven't seen the series--basically, she's a lady mob boss FOR JUSTICE. This is as awesome as you would think.) is my favorite character, and this fandom needs more yuri (or any, really.)

Amazing artwork for an amazing series. Love the angle and the pose - there's such a sense of struggle to it, like they've just come to a stalemate after an intense battle. The colouring and the stylised wallpaper reminds me a little of the ending sequence, too, which is supercool.

Well, the hand under her chin is meant to belong to the other woman--that is, the arm of the other woman (Benika, the one in the pink tights 
Of course, the perspective in this whole drawing absolutely doesn't stand up to scrutiny--parallel lines don't all converge at one point and so on, and there's accordingly some confusion as to whether there's really enough space between their two bodies to allow Benika's arm to fit in there, so you're not wrong to think it looks off.

I'm glad the perspective looks good to you--to be perfectly honest, when I was trying to neaten up the sketch and, perhaps, even find the vanishing points at which the three sets of orthogonal lines in the drawing should all converge, before I started drawing any final straight lines anywhere, *none* of them actually seemed to work--I'm not sure if any three of these lines converge at a single point, but at a glance it still looks vaguely right to me. I don't know why.

It seems to me like really exact perspective lines never look quite right. Maybe adding that human element helps to make things look better?

Love the crazy pose they're in...just because it really makes me stare at this again and again. The curls do the same effect, as do the rest of the dim lighting sort of environmental bits. Sounds like a curious series..
