It's been a long time since I did any fanart; and even more so since I've done Hetalia fanart. Sometimes it's embarrassing to identify as a Hetalia fan, to be honest, but I like to think that I'm one of the fans that prefers the historical aspect of it rather than the typical "omgz gayz" fans that everyone perceives them to be.I think I made a comment about something similar before, but honestly, Poland (Feliks) is probably one of the most admirable countries there is out there. Despite serious ups and downs, it's always risen like a phoenix from the ashes.
This was a really quick sketch that I did for SAI and it was kind of like visually jotting down an idea for a picture that I might or might not do (probably not. XD) of Feliks in a (possible?) post-September-1st setting. I don't know. ~_~

Wah I love the coloring on this. It's like that painted crayon look, if that makes any sense. Fuuuu, I wish I could explain myself more clearly but I like how Poland seems damaged but keeps smiling and moving on, y'know? XD Anyways, after seeing this I might doodle a bit. Thanks a million for both your art, inspiration, and friendliness!

Thanks! :3 Honestly, that's one of the best things about working with Paint Tool SAI. I'm able to change all my brushes to look like actual paint brushes so no one will ever know. XD

I edited it just a little. LOL I didn't full-out edit it on Photoshop like I normally do. I think I had only one layer to add a bit of contrast and a Colour Balance layer to make it a little redder. ^^
