Description
After GNER went bankrupt; the company was taken over by National Express with their National Express East Coast franchise. In doing so most of the 225s (and some 125s) were given a gray stripe over the original GNER red stripe, and removal of GNER branding; the only remnent of the former scheme was the red doors. As time went on the livery would be revised into a proper National Express Livery.
