Description

The Valorant Class Destroyer Scout is a vessel built for escorting fleets and scouting ahead of said fleets. The USS Valorant was concived under the "Defiant Pathfinder Project" as the ship shared some components with the Defiant Class, including a more expanded, multi-tier variant of its bridge.

The Valorant Class differenticated itself from the Nova Class it was based from as it had forward heavy torpedoe launchers in place of where the secondary deflector would be, and in turn the place where the forward torpedoe launchers would be on a Nova Class were replaced with Phaser Cannons from the Defiant Class.

The USS Valorant, NX-73184 was launched admist of the Dominion War, and a replacement for destroyed Miranda Classes during the conflict, as the Valorant Class was based upon a Nova Class, production of the class was on overdrive, some of the class were experimented, like the USS Destiny's End, NCC-5901-E which had additional armour on, and ran more advanced Quantum Torpodoes that would be later used on the Soverigen Class, and another system that is being kept under wraps.

The Valorant Class also lead to the newer Akula-II Class Perimeter Action Vessels, as it would be developed from the class as it's start point.

Around 199 Valorant Classes were built, a Valorant-II is currently proposed using the Novauo Class as it's basis, and this new Valorant-II may even have more Phaser Cannons and more advanced torpedoe launchers.
