Description
Before the in-character things: Eponymous pun intended. Is the background/character too similar? The features are slightly different from *Esepibe 's image. And yes, I did to those effects in MS Paint.

No, I'm not dedicating everything to *Esepibe 's club, but it's a nice inspiration outlet.

In character:

I've asked Dr. E about the Deuxrai legend; how this fusion was created, and then escaped, leaving fear and uncertainty about. Dr. E dismissed it as nothing but a legend, and I was allowed to produce this hybrid.

So, off I spliced, mixing distorted Mew DNA with Darkrai's.

It developed well. It first looked like a small, dark blob with patches of white. Over time, those patches slightly darkened in color, and more features appeared.

At first, I thought the wispy extensions in the column were its structure decomposing, but it turned out, it was part of Deuxrai's structure.

Neural activity was spectacular, even when Deuxrai wasn't fully developed. It showed promise intelligently.

I remember being there when Deuxrai awoke for the first time. I barely had the time to grasp those opened blue eyes before I fainted.

I awoke again approximately a day later, to the sight of Deuxrai above me, with a fractured glass column and pools cytoplasmic substance scattered about the equipment. It seemed it could, like the legend, put me in a coma instantly, and I wondered if I should have given that pokemon more Tameex.

But I was still awake. Deuxrai noticed I regained consciousness and put me in a sitting position. Now that I had more of my mentality, I took a few observations; while it looked intimidating, it didn't seem to be aggressive. Deuxrai had legs, but it preferred to hover in the air. I could almost sense Deuxrai's thoughts. It seemed to say, "I'm sorry; I didn't mean to accidentally clutch your mind and send you into a slumber. Since that event, I've gained more control over my powers."

Okay, maybe Deuxrai didn't say that all specifically, but you get the idea. Unlike the malevolent Deuxrai of legend, this one was thoughtful and kind. How did two, similar, almost identical creatures have vastly different personalities? I wish I knew that.
