Happy Birthday to my sister , who turns 23 this year. Wish I could be there in Canada to celebrate with you, but until then here's Lord Kass climbing the walls of Darigan Citadel to steal back his crown. Why climb with wings?
Because it looks badass.
Will be submitting this for Eyrie day later this year ... assuming it gets in.

This brings back such fond memories as the Meridell plot was going on when I was introduced to the site. I'm still super miffed though because I so badly wanted to enter the contest magazine where you could get those awesome Battle of Meridell figures, but my childhood was shortly before the time where Canadians could enter those kinds of contests too. BI

It used to be a long-time dream to work for them, though, and in fact was one of the main catalysts that god me drawing. I'd probably only be happy to now if I could redraw all those ugly flash pets to have some personality like they did before.

I miss the old plots so much. The site has changed hands so many times in the last couple of years that there hasn't been anything going on in a long time. Except Yooyooball, but I dislike sports both in real life and online.

I still love neopets; too bad I didn't realize those years ago that, when I disabled receiving general emails from them, that it would also block any future emails meant to help me reset and/or recover my password...I am perpetually locked out because of that. All those hours of work - lost in cyberspace. *quiet sobs*

That's so unfortunate. I rage-deleted my old account back in 2006 after they overhauled the site and gave us those ugly new flash redraws. It had the original Solkaris and Jack of Hearts on it.

Lord Kass is exactly the reason why I always wanted a Darigan Eyrie, even more than the current mutant Lupe, and this just makes the big griffon look even more badass

Yeah the Eyrie's survived alright, and I like that the Kyriis look more like the original version than the updated one from several years ago ... but what the hell did they do to the Meercas! Why are the Uni's noses so flat? Why aren't the Blumaroos bouncing on their tails anymore!? I wish I could work for Neopets if only to redraw all the ugly flash pets with more personality again.

I have to admit, the only pets I really like anymore are the xweetoks, lupes, eyries, and kougras. I took to much of a break from the site to have a solid memory of what they used to look like, sadly, having joined when I was eleven, and not having the best memory of back then, but even I know that my old favorites look flat and lifeless now

There are several websites like Dr. Sloth's Image Emporium and JellyNeo's Book of Ages that allow you to look at some of the old art and designs, if Google can't help you. It's a bit of a punch in the gut.
