I think it was my first time working with a limited palette; it was tricky to choose which part to hide and which one to keep (Eventually it ended up with me hiding all the details orz) but the minimalist look isn't that bad ^^

And working with a limited palette is good practice. Constraints can really help with improving your art. In a weird way total freedom is sometimes too much and having limits makes you have to focus on a few things.
