Now show me what you've learned since I've been away.

Continuing on with my alteration of Gouken's look, this is now my new interpretation of how he looks around the time of Street Fighter 4. Now with this being my new look for him I guess you can say my upcoming Street Fighter Sync project won't be as close to source material as originally intended. I'm fine with that, because I intend on making something that pulls from source material, but will also have a little bit of creative edge to it I suppose.

What I changed with Gouken was give him hair on his head, since Gouken died (yeah died lol) around SF Alpha time and in that timeline in my universe he had hair. Since Street Fighter 4 is set four years after his apparent death I figured him going bald seemed odd. Instead his hairline is just receding slightly, his beard is graying a bit, and also he has that famous X scar on his forehead. (A scar from his fight with Akuma)

Lastly I changed his outfit a bit, mainly the color scheme. Instead of a gray top it is now light blue, and his pants are still fluffed up but not white instead they are tannish. I added on some ankle wrappings, and his prayer bead bracelet. Also I got rid of his ridiculously huge rope knot belt, and instead just went for a tightly wrapped rope belt minus the knot. Gouken is a bit bigger than how he appears in Alpha (The Gouken sprite I have yet to release, but wait just wait!), because after he woke up from his attack he decided to start training harder and get bigger muscular wise to fight Akuma again and hopefully stand a better chance against his fallen brother.

There is a lot more I could say about Gouken, but I want to wrap this up quick so I can get back to work writing out the first Street Fighter Sync comic then start working on it.

One last thing though as you can tell Gouken's right hand (the one raised close to his chin) looks off, so if you are a decent spriter I could use the help to get it looking more like how it does in his SF4 stance. I'll give credit, thanks!
