Description
This image began life as a 3D render from Bryce. I built a virtual Kaleidoscope in Bryce, and pointed it at a sunset sky. I felt it was a bit weak, perhaps because I need to add additional reflections to the render engine.

Nonetheless, I liked the result, and then ran that image through the Mehdi Kaleidoscope plugin in Photoshop to add some interest and then added some of my signature special effects in Photoshop. As I was working on the image, it seemed to want to become the inside of a dome. So I added some dome highlight and shadows and some hazy sun streaks to complete the image.

I hope it will inspire some awe in some of the viewers.
