Description
A character design I whipped up for my original story "A Place in Space." (Wow! Something that's not fan art!) Her name is Zavarthia and she's based on a squid with, a sort of generic fin and fish lips. Real squids have four short tentacles and two long "feeder" tentacles in front. I gave her the wrong number of short ones. Whoops.
UPDATE: Did some shading and highlights. I think it looks nicer this way.

I used the same pencil trick you used on your last pic, starting with a blue sketch and going over it with a 2B pencil. It looks messier in the full view, but I think it turned out pretty well for my first try.
