Description
So here's a peek at what I've been up to lately. This girl is for my final project in my Character Design class. Over Thanksgiving break I came up with some rough concepts for her, her name and basic identity (she's a fallen angel serving time on Earth, her real name is Abdiel but she goes by Abby, she's a chainsmoker and she can turn her cigarettes into swords). However, I wanted to use a different style than what I've done on previous assignments.

And then I came across the newest and weirdest anime Gainax has produced yet: "Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt." I don't much like the show's brand of vulgar comedy but the premise was strikingly similar to my idea (rebellious fallen angels who fight evil by turning their namesake garments into weapons), and the visual style impressed me enough to try it out (the music's not half bad, either, but this isn't a music class). I think Abby came out pretty good like this, and my teacher thinks so, too! Now I get to color her in, do the linework with the pen tool, and draw her a million times over before I can turn her in for credit. Fun times...
