Sorry, but I can't help myself with the fact that an iron cross and germans in martial looking uniforms are quite ... delicate, at least.
Guys, all this martial power, the striking pose, military symbols that cause patriotic feelings at least, in short, this awezumness was abused to an extent that goes far beyond human imagination. I know what I'm speaking of, I am a german myself.
I don't think there is much adorable about germans.

The Iron Cross is NOT a Nazi symbol, it's Prussian and from 1813. Plus, it's still used as a symbol in German military.
And, seriously: "I don't think there is much adorable about germans."?? It's been over half a century! Don't get me wrong, it was horrible and we should never ever forget this so it won't happen EVER again, but I really don't see why /I/ should be ashamed for being German because of this. I had nothing to do with this, nor had my parents. They weren't even born -_-
And I really think, I shouldn't start this here, but, well. It annoys me, so there.

About the iron cross, you're right, that was a little careless by me.
And about germans not being adorable: That was not related to our history. Ich sage nur: SpieΓer, Skat-Club, Mallorca ... 
My parents were not even born in that time as well.

It' s not tension, It's kind of ... well, you could say worry. In my country, I have to encounter the case of forgetting just what was done far too often, and the comments here were about at least 90% positive, which I found a bit careless.
To make a long story short, I just wanted to remind that this has to be enjoyed with care. Nothing more.

Perhaps I should have added that it was from the series "Hetalia" in the description.
Most of the comments here were more pertaining to the series rather than the actual history itself. Both are two very different subjects.
I wouldn't worry though. A lot of the fans of the series know there is a fine line that needs to be drawn between history and the series.
I was the careless one who forgot the minor detail.
