Aaargh, this took me so much longer than I intended! Heck, it wasn't even my intention to draw this! I need to work on contest prizes! But yeah, I wanted to see how well I could keep up the realism of this pic:that turned into this:
The hair tried to kill me. I also added some very strong lighting, to keep the pic interesting. His facial expression is quite blank, you see... Not even a smirk! Perfect for a passport, but here? Nah... I changed the eyes a bit too, since there was something a bit off that I didn't see without the rest of the face.

maybe if you put some tape on the corners of your mouth to keep them up... or get a knife and create a smile like the Joker XD I think the brushes I used for his hair are too fancy: it should be all tangled up

It's a bit of a joke here that everyone's photo for passports/driver's licence looks like a criminal mugshot. Those photo booths, with the staring at a certain spot, and the not smiling rules for passports, mean we look like we've done something very serious.

we can give a small smile, as long as it doesn't show teeth... but otherwise, the rules are strict here as well. Everone just looks dump now on their pass port pics. Though I have a pass over here that shows me with a nice black bar in front of my eyes, like a proper criminal! It's my archery club pass - I made a joke about the black bar there, never expected the guy who was in charge of making the passes would actually mutilate my photo like that!
