This is the finished bustier for [link] . It took a bit more than 10 hours to do this final piece, but it took me forever to make the toile (muslin sample)! Now I'm adding the hematite beads to the top border.I'm a little bigger than these dress forms used at school, but the corset has grommets, so I can wear it, even if the lacing gets more open.

Well, this one is too tight at the waist for me, and I wore it twice so far. The lacing on the back helps for this.

Well, I did iron it after finished. It wrinkled when in the dressform.

I wore it with a long, black velvet skirt. The corset fits me well in the bust, but it's tight at the waist. Guess I don't have the 'tiny' waist of the dressform.

I WISH I had the tiny waist of the dressform we have however, corsets are made to be tight at the waist and to actually cinch. If you're wearing it for looks and comfort and not for it's true design then it probably will fit differently.
There are some styles that are meant to be cut a bit smaller than the individuals figure so that it compresses the figure this is why most of the upper class had fainting couches at their disposal when corsets were de rigueur.

Yes, it had to be. Its lining is even all interfaced and the shell has crinolin inside. It also has built-in batting cups.

you can't even tell from the outside that it has that much inner structure, it looks great. I'll bet it's comfortable too.
