A hilarious time from Anime Central 2007, this is myself with Shinichi Watanabe also known as "Nabeshin." He's a somewhat infamous animation director know for Excel Saga, Puni Puni Poemi, and his self insertion 4th wall breaking character. The story goes; he was a guest of honor at Acen that year. As him and his entourage were leaving the center he saw me outside in costume and asked for my picture! I thought he was a random cosplayer at first, but then when I saw his translators I realized who he was. He gave me a hug and it was pretty cool.The dude's hair is really that big! I wonder if he can pull a beer out of it....

I remember him more for Cowboy Bebop...but his adaption of Excel Saga was pretty good too. If only he'd waited a few more years to get more source material.
