Description
I wanted to draw something messy and grotesque with food, and I thought of Hansel and Gretel. I know the subject's been done to death, but oh well.Ink x Painter x Photoshop

You forgot to add a chicken bone lying inside the cage. Remember the story? Hansel used a chicken bone to fool the nearly blind witch into believing that he wasn't putting on weight.
Or is that supposed to be the chicken bone clutched in his right hand? Edit: Oh, no, that's his thumb.

I should have included some reference to it, yeah. I think people unfamiliar with the story would come to some grosser conclusion about the bone, though.

Could have included a plate with a chicken skeleton on it, with the leg bone obviously missing and in easy reach of Hansel's hand.
But it works just as-is.
