Description            The eastern seaside boarder needed no guarding, but the queen had it patrolled like the rest of the barriers. She insisted that it be patrolled just in case there was a seaside attack. Lon and Journey had the unfortunate luck of drawing this particular boarder. Though they knew the job was easily, the both dreaded the monotony of the task. The only thing that cheered them up was that there friend Syn had joined them.
"Is patrol always like this?" the vixen asked.
"It is on this one. No one would attack Coralous from the sea," Journey sighed. She lay on her back, watching the stars.
Lon was sitting next to the large rock that Syn was on. "Well this should be a quiet night, so at least we can relax."
Suddenly Syn grabbed Jouney's leg and pulled her closer to her. In the ground was a large sword where the human had been. The three warriors had their weapons drawn and where waiting for an attack. The sprite was now an anthrop-fox that stood seven and a half feet tall. Her body was covered in shaggy orange fur and her muzzle reviled her sharp teeth. The opponent was a large anthrop-wolf that was over eight feet tall. There was enough moonlight to see that the beast was female. It lunged at the human only to be knocked away by the fox.
The wolf stood up and laughed at the smaller sprite. Her sword changed in to a small handheld piece of steel. Syn recognized the new weapon. "Run!" she barked to her friends. Her opponent pointed the gun at Lon, who didn't move.
An explosion echoed in the clearing, and the vixen screamed in agony. She dragged the two Guards into the nearby woods. "What was that?" Journey's voice shook with fear.
"It's called a gun and it's much faster and deadlier than a bow," Syn groaned as she held her side. "Why didn't you run?" Her glared centered on the elf.
"I'm not leaving you alone," Lon said firmly. "Look at what happened to you," he pointed to her bleeding stomach.
"This only happened because you didn't listen. I can dodge a bullet, unless some shit head decides not to listen to me." The large fox ground her teeth as she inserted two fingers into the hole in her side.. She pulled out a small piece of metal and the wound healed without a mark. Syn handed the blood coated slug to Journey. "Take that to Leah. I'm sure she'll know what that is," she saw the confusion on the human's face. "Go, you're the easiest target. Get help and do it now!"
Journey ran deeper in to the woods. Lon watched her leave and turned back to the fox sprite. She held an identical gun that the giant wolf held. "What are you doing?"
"I'm going to shoot that bitch back," Syn growled.
The elf watched the fox walk out of the trees. He was surprised that the wolf hadn't moved. Her turquoise eyes glowed with excitement. The vixen lifted her gun and fired eight times, all of them hitting the same spot in the center of the anthrop's chest. She watched the large beast fall to the ground. Lon was in shock. He had never seen anything so cold. The gun disappeared from the sprites hand as she walked away. Lon turned to fallow, only to be seized around the neck. He looked into a set of cold eyes and a large smiling muzzle full of sharp teeth. He grabbed his dagger from his side and sliced open the arm that held him.
Syn watched the monster that she had just killed drop her friend. She disappeared in a puff of smoke, only to reappear on the wolf's back. With her sharp claws, the sprite tore out her enemy's throat.
Once again, the black behemoth fell to the ground. Lon could not get out from under the wolf, and was crushed. The vixen struggled to push the dead wolf off of him, but she managed. The elf had been crushed and was gasping for air. Syn gently placed her hand on his chest and he was healed instantly. They backed away from the intruder and watched as she began to move.
Syn was unprepared for the lightning quick attack that sent her flying across the clearing, into the giant rock. The wolf bit down on her left shoulder and the vixen ran her claws down her black sides. She kicked the larger anthrop off and stood. The fox's ears were flat against her head and the fur along her spine was raised up. She growled at the woman that bit her. Watching the angry vixen closely, the wolf held up a leather cord for her opponent to see. Syn stepped forward and felt the leather corset she had been wearing fall away. She growled louder and attacked the wolf.

Journey ran through the castle to Leah's council room. She stopped to bow and then hurried to the table. "Syn wanted me to give you this," she handed the queen the bullet she had been holding. "There's an intruder; an enormous wolf. We didn't even sense her and the barrier hadn't been broken."
Leah examined the slug. She recognized the marking engraved on the bottom and knew who the perpetrator must be. "Nick, bring a large cloak. Journey, take me to the intruder."
"Leah, you can't be serious about going?" Nick said. "It's too dangerous for you to go out there."
"It's more dangerous if I don't," Leah said. She stood and walked to the door. "Right now she's playing with Lon and Syn. I need to get there before she decides to stop."
Nick fallowed the two women after grabbing a cloak that Jack had left in the council room. The three of them all road on horses as fast as they could to the place Journey said the intruder was. When they entered the clearing, Lon was lying on his side, unconscious, and Syn was fighting an enormous wolf.
Leah watched as her friend struggled against the much stronger and larger wolf. She dismounted and walked closer to the duel, with Nick close by her side. "No Moon!" she called above the snarling from the fight.
The wolf threw the fox away from her, and looked at the small queen. "Leah," she smiled. "I was wondering when you would show up." No Moon started walking toward the queen, but was stopped by a large fox.
Syn pinned the anthrop to the ground. She stood on top of her as a three foot tall, five and a half foot long fox. "I'm not done with you," she growled.
The smaller wolf watched the fox open her mouth as she got ready to maul the intruder. "Syn stop, let her go."
"What?" Syn asked. She got off the wolf and watched the queen.
No Moon stood up and walked to the much smaller wolf. She smiled when her body guard drew his sword. She changed into a seven foot tall woman that appeared human, and was stark naked. "It's been a long time hasn't it?"
"Too long," the queen did not sound amused. "Put this on, no one wants to see you in the buff." She handed her friend the large cloak. "So how long are you going to stay?"
The woman's smile grew when she heard the fox growl. "It seems your pet doesn't approve of my stay."
Leah saw Syn walking up to the wolf. "She's not a pet. She's my guest and she knows that she can leave any time if she's not happy here." The fox stopped and growled at both of the wolves. "So how long are you staying?"
"Until you have your little war," the large woman smiled. "You have some good fighters, but I haven't had a good fight in years. This might prove entertaining."
"I'll give you a good fight," Syn smiled viciously.
"You'll leave each other be or not both are not welcome here," Leah's voice was stern.
