Two characters I've been developing. A girl (Nameless for now, but I'm thinking Amelia) and her robot (Charlie, unless I think of something better, haha).I've been obsessed with them lately.
It's kinda weird to be obsessed with my own characters.Tablet and GIMP

And poor Amelia and Charlie. They may be trapped in a run-down corner of the city with no cover in a rainstorm, but at least they have each other.
I also really like the exposed brick. It makes the scene look a lot more realistic.

I shoulda said something about this sooner... I loves the feel of this. The robot is wonderful, and the girl is all aww... But its the embrace and the scene that, well, way cool.

I've been meaning to comment on this for a while.
This is absolutely wonderful. I just love how you captured all the sheens, tones, highlights. This is really a delight to look at. I love the reflections in the sidewalk and the cracked wallpaint. Truly a vision of momentary dreariness in a steampunk world. Charlie sticks out and reminds you that you're in a fantasy world. lol. I think one thing I feel could use a bit of touchup is Charlie's back...um... thing. XD It looks a little flat against the box and by the same token it has a rounded feel. Maybe make it all just a PINCH darker but I think that's me being biased. XD If anything the light grey feel conveys a certain sense of lightness than making it dark and then making the viewer be all sadfaced. lol! This must've taken forever. Truly gorgeous work. It shows your skill. I can't believe this was done in GIMP. 8D

And Charlie's backpack thing... Yeah, I'm not so satisfied with that. I had forgotten about it until almost the very end, which is probably one of the reasons it looks flat, haha...
And thanks again! Yeah, I don't have Photoshop or anything. D: I have to make due with what I got, but that's okay. I think GIMP gets kind of a bad rep sometimes because so many people don't know how to use its full potential (Which is something I'm still discovering even after using it for four years or so!).

I used to have a steampunk character but it kinda... died x_________x I coul never get the steampunk look "right", it's pretty hard
