You just draw him so... eearrrggh I can't even describe it! Like, okay, at first in the game I felt like Wheatley was, in fact, a sophisticated piece of machinery. He could hack open wall panels and he seemed to know a whole lot about the physiological effects of being put into long-term cryosleep. And quite frankly I didn't think any of the stupid things he did, like freaking out about falling from his management rail or even his godawful piloting of the relaxation chamber in the first part of the game. I just figured he was neurotic and therefore panicky, and didn't always do things with much finesse. Your Wheatley design conveys that really well, but it also leaves room for him to look like a massive jerk later (but that may also be because you're excellent with expressions, and the right expression can make almost anyone look evil)
