Traditional drawing of Buffy and Angel. Buffy is one of my favorite tv shows of all time, because I really like fantasy stuff like this!
Finally I managed to finish all my WIPs / drawings I've started months ago. That's the last drawing on this awful grainy paper and now I can go on and use the new smooth paper (see also Spider-Man and Bucky). I just hated to draw Angel's blurred face on this paper. It was just frustrating! I really had to force myself to finish these WIPs and it turned into an art block for a while, but now I'm really relieved. Time to turn drawing into fun again!
I'm going to prepare some "step by step tutorials" for this and another drawing soon (Patreon)!
Reference was a promo picture of Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy Summers and David Boreanaz as Angel from the TV show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (1997-2003).
Paper DIN A4 190g/mΒ² (size of the drawing = 18,7cm x 14,2cm); Faber-Castell Polychromos artists' colour pencils, Copic Ciao and Sketch marker, uni-ball Signo pigment ink um-153 white; time: ~12 hours

I would definitely be interested in any step - by - step tutorials that could help me improve....have you done any tutorials in the past before?

I left it as black/white...I'm still learning how to draw guys realistically and David Boreanaz has a VERY distinct facial features that I found very frustrating but was happy what I achieved...normally when I try to draw Sarah I fail dismally, but this time I'm very happy how it turned out. Definitely in the future want to go back and redo this and perhaps add some colour.

I've done a few step by step tutorials in the past.
I did also a colouring step by step (colored pencil steps) for this drawing. I uploaded it today here on dA (for 850 points, see "purchase" at the right side). But I offer also cheaper options without the wip and the high resolution scan.
For the beginning I definitely recommend reference picture without blurred parts. In this reference "Angels" face wasn't easy to draw, because it was so blurred... 
My favourite seasons were season 2, 6, 7,... 1... 3... hmm, almost everything!
I had no fave shipping back then.

My fave seasons: BtVS: 2, 3, 5 & 7 Angel: 1, 3 & 5 (pretty much the same!)

I did like Buffy (and I still do) but when Faith breezed into Sunnydale she became my fave lol (I Β Fuffy!!!)
also love Spike, Cordy, Angel/Angelus, Darla, Willow, Tara, Giles, Lorne, Holtz
Fave villains? The Mayor!! Absolutely brilliance!! Drusilla....ok the Whirlwind! Wolfram and Hart (evil lawyers - our worst nightmare eh?)

Yeah I agree about that .... it was wasn't it? At times I found that sometimes lol
Then again I liked Angel and Buffy for different reasons: Buffy I've found was very light, comical, cheery and at times dove into issues of young adults, college life, etc etc.....while Angel plunged into the much darker tones, redemption, conspiracy, revenge, betrayal....can someone really atone from past deeds?
Which I enjoyed alittle bit more.... I didn't want Angel to be handed on a silver platter "Here you go mate, you get to be human again" Angel took day by day, every day was a challenge....the human psyche, emotions, relationships and mental issues were touched upon on the show
Omg yess!! totally agree about Wesley!! How much i HATED him in BtVS S3 and wow what a journey that character made from BtVS to Angel S5 finale?!?!! hard to believe it was the same guy!!

I completely agree!
Oh yes... I hated him as well in Buffy, but then in Angel he really changed. The finale of Angel (season 5) was the first time I cried because of a tv show ("cry counter" tv shows: 2x so far and movies: 2-3x).

Omg that scene killed me!! And also when Fred died and Illyria took total control of her body "born within the host" Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof did that scene beautifully! 
To this day I strongly feel if I had to pick a handful of Whedonverse characters from Buffy/angel on who changed drastically from the beginning to the end are: Wesley, Willow, Cordelia, Angel, Spike, Faith and somewhat Dawn....(considering that Dawn was only on buffy for x3 seasons!)

Sorry to hear that you've struggled due to paper and stuff. I have to agree, it's very grainy. Not easy to draw on I guess... You've done an incredible job though, and I think the blurriness on Angel worked out great!

Hi love your work!! Could I ask which paper you find the best for colour pencils as i struggle with my colour pencil work and you do such beautiful drawings ,maybe good paper would help me!

Thanks for answering ,I did try the bristol board as a lot of people recommended it but did not hold the pencil well, canson mixed media is quite good and cheap!
